Principal Data Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the evolution of the organization's enterprise data platform strategy, the full-time remote Principal Data Engineer will define data standards, drive Snowflake platform maturity, and oversee the migration of legacy data assets into a scalable data ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement data architecture and governance frameworks
• Drive modernization initiatives and establish engineering standards for enterprise analytics
• Lead the migration of legacy data and optimize data integration processes

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 8 years of related experience, preferably in software development with increasing scope and responsibilities
• Extensive experience with object-oriented programming in C#, Java, or Python
• Proficient in SQL integration development and experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Azure DevOps, TFS, and Jira
