Principal Data Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the evolution of the organization's enterprise data platform strategy, the full-time remote Principal Data Engineer will define data standards, drive Snowflake platform maturity, and establish governance practices while managing the migration of legacy data assets into a scalable enterprise data ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement data architecture, governance frameworks, and modernization initiatives
• Drive the maturity of the Snowflake platform and oversee the migration of legacy data assets
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create architectural foundations and engineering standards for enterprise analytics

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 8 years of related experience, preferably in software development with increasing scope and responsibilities
• Extensive experience with object-oriented programming in C#, Java, Python, or equivalent
• Experience with SQL integration development and source code control systems such as Git
• Proven track record of working independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplined team
