Principal Data Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the evolution of the enterprise data platform strategy, the full-time remote Principal Data Engineer will define data standards, drive Snowflake platform maturity, and establish governance practices while overseeing the migration of legacy data assets into a scalable enterprise data ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement data architecture and governance frameworks for the organization
• Drive the migration and modernization of legacy data assets to enhance data accessibility and usability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish engineering standards and best practices for enterprise analytics and reporting

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 8 years of related experience in software development with increasing responsibilities
• Extensive experience with object-oriented programming in languages such as C#, Java, or Python
• Proficient in SQL integration development and experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools, including Azure DevOps and Jira
