Principal Data Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the evolution of the enterprise data platform strategy, the full-time remote Principal Data Engineer will define data standards, drive Snowflake platform maturity, and establish governance practices while overseeing the migration of legacy data assets into a modern enterprise data ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement data architecture and governance frameworks
• Drive the modernization and migration of legacy data assets
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance enterprise analytics and reporting capabilities

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 8 years of related experience, preferably in software development with increasing responsibilities
• Extensive experience in object-oriented programming (C#, Java, Python, etc.)
• Proficiency with SQL integration development and cloud technologies (Azure/AWS/hybrid)
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Azure DevOps, TFS, and Jira
