Principal Data Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a highly experienced Principal Data Engineer for a full-time remote position, responsible for leading the evolution of the enterprise data platform strategy, defining data standards, and driving the modernization of legacy data assets into a scalable ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and governance framework for the enterprise data platform
• Drive the migration of legacy data assets and establish data governance practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the Snowflake platform and support enterprise analytics initiatives

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 8 years of related experience, preferably in software development with increasing scope and responsibilities
• Extensive experience in object-oriented programming languages such as C#, Java, or Python
• Proficiency with SQL integration development and cloud technologies like Azure or AWS
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Azure DevOps and Jira
