Principal Data Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the evolution of the enterprise data platform strategy, the full-time remote Principal Data Engineer will define data standards, drive Snowflake platform maturity, and establish governance practices while overseeing the migration of legacy data assets into a scalable ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement data architecture, governance frameworks, and modernization initiatives
• Drive the migration of legacy data assets and establish metadata practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support enterprise analytics and reporting efforts

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 8 years of related experience, preferably in software development with increasing responsibilities
• Extensive experience with object-oriented programming in C#, Java, or Python
• Proven track record with SQL integration development and cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like Azure DevOps, TFS, and Jira
