Principal Data Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the evolution of the enterprise data platform strategy, the full-time Principal Data Engineer will be responsible for defining data standards, driving Snowflake platform maturity, and migrating legacy data assets in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement data governance frameworks and architectural standards
• Lead the migration and modernization of legacy data systems into a scalable enterprise data ecosystem
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish best practices for data integration and management

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 8 years of related experience, preferably in software development with increasing responsibilities
• Extensive experience with object-oriented programming languages such as C#, Java, or Python
• Proficiency in SQL integration development with both SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools, including Azure DevOps and Jira
