Principal Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support the Tech Ops organization, the full-time remote Principal Data Engineer will design and scale enterprise data platforms, architect complex data integration solutions, and influence best practices across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and evolve high volume batch and real-time data pipelines using modern frameworks
• Develop end-to-end ingestion and transformation frameworks integrating various data services and APIs
• Lead technical design for client implementations, ensuring fault-tolerant architectures in cloud environments

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience with large scale, distributed data systems in cloud environments
• Expert proficiency in Python, SQL, and PySpark for performance-optimized data transformations
• Proven experience building production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks or similar frameworks
• Strong knowledge of AWS data services or equivalent cloud technologies
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
