Principal Data Engineer

Job Summary

Owning product engineering and architectural decisions, the fully remote Principal Data Engineer will lead the end-to-end data integration strategy, ensuring seamless data movement across various platforms while partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and governed data and AI solutions.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the integration architecture decisions and standards for the Butterfly program across multiple data platforms
• Drive the design, development, testing, and deployment of scalable integration solutions supporting global releases
• Establish and govern integration design reviews, technical specifications, and ensure compliance with enterprise data standards

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 15+ years of experience in enterprise data engineering, technical architecture, and cloud engineering
• Hands-on expertise with Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and Power BI
• Demonstrated expertise with Generative AI technologies and enterprise data management disciplines
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence diverse audiences
