Principal Data Engineer

Job Summary

Owning data pipelines from ingestion to delivery, the full-time Principal Data Engineer will architect scalable solutions using Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery, while working remotely or in a hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and manage end-to-end data pipelines, including ingestion, transformation, validation, and delivery
• Architect solutions for scalability, focusing on data models, partitioning, clustering strategies, and query optimization
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries while managing ETL/ELT processes and data integration at production scale

Required qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with legacy enterprise reporting environments
• Intermediate-level Python skills for automation and data processing
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Strong understanding of database design principles and the software development life cycle
