Principal Data Engineer
Job Summary
Owning product engineering and architectural decisions, the fully remote Principal Data Engineer will lead technical strategy and solution delivery, partnering with cross-functional teams to define scalable data and AI solutions over a two-year duration.
Key responsibilities
- Define and own the engineering strategy, technology architecture, and roadmap in collaboration with Product Owners and architects
- Provide hands-on technical leadership, contributing to architecture and design reviews while driving informed technology decisions
- Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-scale data products and AI solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- 15+ years of experience in enterprise data engineering, technical architecture, and AI platforms
- Proven experience leading architecture decisions and engineering standards across multiple teams
- Hands-on expertise with Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and Power BI
- Demonstrated expertise with Generative AI technologies and MLOps frameworks
