Principal Data Engineer
Job Summary
Providing technical leadership and operational ownership for the CPS DataValidation platform, the full-time Principal Data Engineer will manage platform reliability, oversee production support, and drive modernization across on-premise and Azure environments while collaborating with cross-functional teams remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Own the health, reliability, performance, and scalability of the DataValidation platform
- Lead incident management and drive improvements in observability and operational excellence
- Define and execute the technical strategy and roadmap for the DataValidation platform
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of software engineering experience
- 5+ years in technical leadership roles such as Staff Engineer or Principal Engineer
- Experience with mission-critical production systems and enterprise-scale data platforms
- Strong hands-on experience with Python, Oracle Database, and Azure Data Services
- Proven success in influencing multiple organizations and stakeholders
