Principal Data Engineering Lead

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Data Engineering Lead (Remote) in the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and guide a team of data engineers in the development and maintenance of a modern data warehouse using Snowflake and DBT
• Ensure the quality of the data warehouse through implementing automated testing and release processes, monitoring system performance, and addressing any issues or anomalies
• Shape the future of the data engineering team and warehouse, including expanding the team, introducing new technologies, and developing new data products

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience working with data as a software developer or data practitioner
• Experience building and maintaining modern data pipelines in the cloud at an Enterprise scale, ideally using Snowflake and DBT
• Proven experience working and leading teams with a mature DataOps process
• Extensive knowledge and experience in constructing cloud data warehouses
• Experience writing modern data pipelines deployed in the cloud and working on agile teams to deliver software iteratively
