Principal Data Platform Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Data Platform Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and recommend architecture frameworks, and design and implement high-performance solutions for data products
• Lead the implementation of modern data curation solutions and develop tools for data extraction, transformation, and loading
• Champion high-quality code through regular code reviews and design automation tools for monitoring data quality

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering/Data Engineering roles in high traffic, fault tolerant environments
• Experience in architecture and design of systems, including reliability and scaling
• Experience building real-time data pipelines and working with Big Data Technologies
• Proficiency in Spark, Python, DBT, C#, SQL, and streaming platforms like Kafka or Kinesis
• B.S., M.S., or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related field
