Principal Data Scientist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Data Scientist, Operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models to address practical business problems
• Collaborate with business leaders and technical experts to enhance data sources and modeling methodologies
• Mentor and support other data scientists in operationalizing and evaluating models

Required Qualifications

• PhD in a quantitative field with 3+ years of relevant experience, or a BS/MS in a quantitative field with 7+ years of relevant experience
• Experience in creating, deploying, and managing supervised learning models in production systems
• Familiarity with software engineering best practices, including test-driven development and code review
• Proficiency with the PyData stack (numpy, scikit-learn, pandas, etc.) and interest in various ML solutions
• Experience building end-to-end predictive models and knowledge of consumer lending or fintech is a plus
