Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Data Scientist who will oversee the data science function and manage a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Senior Data Scientists and an ML/AI Engineer, setting expectations for quality and collaboration
• Own the data science and AI roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on business value and feasibility
• Lead the development of complex models and define the team's operating model for research-to-production processes

Required Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in data science or applied AI, with at least 4 years in a leadership role
• Expert proficiency in Python and modern ML libraries such as scikit-learn and TensorFlow
• Deep expertise in statistical modeling and experimental design
• Proven track record of delivering models with measurable business impact
