Principal Data Scientist

Job Summary

Driving innovation across AI/ML initiatives, the full-time contract-to-hire Principal Data Scientist will work remotely to design, implement, and deploy advanced machine learning models, while leading cross-functional collaborations and mentoring junior data scientists.

Key Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead research in machine learning and AI, focusing on deep learning and large language models
• Design, build, train, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models in cloud environments
• Partner with engineering and business stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of impactful solutions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in Data Science with a focus on machine learning and statistical modeling
• 3+ years of experience deploying ML models in production environments using Azure, AWS, or Databricks
• Strong programming expertise in Python and experience with libraries such as scikit-learn and TensorFlow
• Proven experience developing and fine-tuning deep learning models, including transformer-based architectures
