Principal Data Scientist

Job Summary

To lead the development of AI capabilities in education, the fully remote Principal Data Scientist will design and build generative AI systems, improve AI-driven assessments, and collaborate with engineering teams on deployment and optimization.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build GenAI systems that align with education standards
• Enhance AI-driven assessments, content generation, and personalization engines
• Apply statistical methods to prepare messy human data for production use

Required qualifications

• PhD in Statistics or a highly quantitative field
• Strong experience in generative AI, particularly in personalization or content generation
• Proficiency in Python with end-to-end ownership of research production impact
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams
• 4-5 years of industry experience post-PhD
