Principal Data Scientist

Job Summary

Seeking a fully remote Principal Data Scientist, the full-time role will lead client-facing analytical projects in drug discovery, translating complex biomedical data into actionable insights while designing and optimizing AI/ML models across diverse healthcare datasets.

Key responsibilities

• Own end-to-end analytical workstreams across target discovery, patient subtyping, and multimodal data exploration
• Translate complex data science findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership
• Design, implement, and optimize AI/ML models using diverse healthcare data types, including omics, claims, and EHR

Required qualifications

• Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in a quantitative field such as biology, computer science, or engineering
• 5+ years of post-graduate experience in life sciences analytics in pharma, biotech, or consulting
• Demonstrated proficiency in Python with production-quality code experience
• Hands-on experience with major healthcare data types, particularly omics data
• Experience applying LLMs or NLP to real analytical workflows in biomedical or clinical contexts
