Principal Data Scientist

Job Summary

Leading the development and deployment of advanced analytics solutions, the fully remote Principal Data Scientist will tackle complex business challenges, drive innovation, and provide technical leadership to the data science organization while shaping data-driven decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Shape the strategic direction for advanced analytics, delivering insights and production-ready systems that impact key business outcomes
• Lead the development of complex analytical solutions, influencing cross-functional strategies and ensuring scalability and reliability
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to data scientists and technical leads, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive experience in data science, machine learning, or optimization models
• Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field; PhD preferred
• Extensive knowledge of data modeling techniques and statistical methods, including advanced techniques like deep learning and Bayesian analysis
• Advanced proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, R) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)
• Experience with cloud-based analytics platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) for scalable data solutions
