Principal Data Scientist

Job Summary

Owning domain-specific content modeling work end to end, the full-time remote Principal Data Scientist will design and build NLP enrichment pipelines, evaluate various NLP approaches, and write production-quality Python code for high-volume workloads.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and implement NLP pipelines for extracting entities, classifications, claims, and summaries from scientific texts
• Evaluate and compare traditional and modern NLP approaches, making informed decisions on the best tools for each task
• Collaborate with data engineers and stakeholders to ensure reliable and efficient data pipeline operations

Required qualifications:

• Extensive experience in Python programming, particularly in production environments
• Strong background in both modern and classical NLP techniques
• Proven ability to evaluate and choose appropriate methodologies for specific tasks
• Demonstrated track record of successfully shipping systems that deliver value to users
