Principal Database Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Database Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, scalable database architectures using Azure cloud technologies
• Drive strategies for database scaling, tenant isolation, and replication in collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Analyze performance issues and optimize database operations while mentoring technical staff

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of experience in database engineering or administration in high-scale environments
• Deep experience with Azure SQL, including advanced T-SQL and database optimization
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and database security best practices
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code and DevOps tools like Azure DevOps and Terraform
