Principal Database Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Database Engineer to develop and manage large-scale data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and manage OLTP application data models primarily using NoSQL DBs and relational DBs
• Design and implement data movement pipelines using real-time event data streams
• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, establishing standards and best practices for cloud-based data applications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred
• 12+ years of software development experience, focusing on database-centric development
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with NoSQL DBs and 1+ year with Azure Cosmos DB
• 2+ years of experience with event-based streaming technologies
• Strong knowledge in data modeling and design with relational and NoSQL databases
