Principal Decision Scientist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Decision Scientist, Applied Optimization and Simulation.

Key Responsibilities

• Enable clients to maximize the value of their data through optimization, simulation, and machine learning solutions
• Define business objectives with clients and develop project plans to achieve those goals
• Lead teams throughout the data science lifecycle and manage client relationships to create value-driving initiatives

Required Qualifications

• MS/PhD in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related STEM field
• Strong theoretical knowledge of optimization techniques and proficiency in programming languages such as Python
• Practical experience with open-source and commercial solvers, as well as simulation techniques and tools
• 5+ years of practical data science and consulting experience
• Familiarity with data visualization platforms and knowledge of tools like Databricks or AWS is a plus
