Job Summary
Seeking a skilled Principal Design Engineer specializing in nozzle and propulsion, this fully remote contract position will focus on the design, analysis, and production readiness of solid rocket motor nozzles.
Key responsibilities
- Design and analyze solid rocket motor nozzles, ensuring production readiness
- Support the full lifecycle from design through to production
- Address manufacturing considerations, including tooling concepts and bonding methods
Required qualifications
- Expertise in rocket propulsion and nozzle physics, including throat sizing and thermal analysis
- Experience with ablative and erosion modeling
- Knowledge of missile nozzle manufacturing considerations and tolerance stack-ups
- Proven track record of supporting design and analysis through to production
- Eligibility to work legally in the United States without sponsorship
