Principal Design Systems Designer

Job Summary

Seeking a Principal Design Systems Designer to build foundational design systems for a remote full-time role, where the candidate will manage the integration of design and engineering processes to produce high-quality, accessible UI components while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities:

• Audit current product UI and design artifacts to standardize and reduce inconsistencies
• Define the information architecture and create a plan for scalable design system implementation
• Partner with engineers to translate the design system into reusable components with built-in accessibility

Required qualifications:

• Proven experience owning a design system end-to-end at a product company
• Deep understanding of design-to-code integration and modern front-end concepts
• Experience driving adoption of design systems through builder-friendly processes
• Strong knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted design tools and workflows
