Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Distributed Systems Engineer to design and scale their data platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect a modern, scalable, and cost-effective data platform using industry best practices
• Guide data strategy and architecture in partnership with leadership, aligning infrastructure investments with business goals
• Collaborate with Product Managers and SDEs to launch data-intensive features and ensure data governance and security

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience building distributed data systems and backend services in high-growth or startup environments
• Proven ability to build and scale data infrastructure for complex, high-throughput workloads
• Deep expertise in modern data architectures including ETL/ELT pipelines and real-time streaming
• Cloud-native experience with AWS services such as S3, Redshift, and SageMaker
• Track record of shipping production-grade data products that drive business impact
