Principal Embedded Software Engineer

Job Summary

Providing technical leadership and hands-on engineering direction, the full-time Principal Embedded Software Engineer will focus on the design and modernization of secure embedded platforms for power and communication systems, working remotely with cross-functional teams to enhance product development and lifecycle support.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the modernization and architecture of embedded platforms for protection and communication systems
• Review designs and implementations of real-time embedded platforms using multi-core SoCs, RTOS, and embedded Linux
• Guide the implementation of virtualized firmware stacks and support the adoption of embedded virtualization solutions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, embedded systems, or a related field
• Significant experience in embedded software/firmware design and technical leadership for embedded systems
• Strong experience with real-time embedded systems in power system protection and automation
• Proficiency in C/C++, with experience in embedded Linux and RTOS
• Familiarity with containerization and virtualization concepts for embedded systems
