Principal Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Engineer to drive the modernization of critical accounting systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and modernization of legacy accounting applications across the Microsoft technology stack
• Create solution architecture documentation including technical designs, system workflows, and phased modernization roadmaps
• Serve as the hands-on technical lead, contributing directly to development while guiding overall system direction

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with a strong focus on the Microsoft technology stack
• Advanced expertise in .NET and SQL Server development
• Proven experience modernizing legacy applications in enterprise environments
• Strong background in technical solution design and architecture documentation
• Experience working in Azure-native environments
