Principal Engineer

Job Summary

To set the technical direction across Engineering Core Services, the full-time Principal Engineer will own the architecture and roadmap for shared platform capabilities, including customer identity and commerce, while working remotely or in a hybrid model from Austin, Houston, or Denver.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own architecture and decision authority for the Engineering Core Services portfolio, including CIAM and billing platforms
• Lead the consolidation of shared services across product lines and define integration patterns for product engineering teams
• Mentor senior engineers and engage with stakeholders on architectural questions that span multiple products

Required Qualifications:

• 12+ years of engineering experience, with at least 7 years as the primary architect for shared services across multiple product organizations
• Deep production experience architecting and operating a CIAM platform at scale, with expertise in OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SAML 2.0
• Experience in another shared platform domain such as commerce, customer operations, or enterprise data integration
• Strong systems-integration judgment across diverse environments and business models
• Cloud-native architecture experience, combined with operating experience in legacy enterprise environments
