Principal Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a seasoned technical leader, the full-time remote Principal Engineer will drive the design and architecture of scalable, secure cloud services while resolving complex technical problems and shaping the organization-wide technical vision.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the design and architecture of distributed, scalable, secure full-stack cloud services that process large volumes of data
• Resolve complex technical problems through collaboration and hands-on implementation while influencing engineering execution and culture
• Establish enterprise standards for system scalability, reliability, and security, and lead the evolution of data processing workflows

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in designing, building, and operating complex cloud-native distributed systems
• Recognized authority in architecture and distributed systems with experience in defining organization-wide technical standards
• Deep expertise in high-throughput data processing and transformation at scale, including batch and streaming systems
• Experience with durable workflow/orchestration engines and event-driven architectures
• Proven ability to align technical vision with company-level strategy and influence senior stakeholders
