Principal Engineer

Job Summary

Guiding technical initiatives, the full-time remote Principal Engineer will own the architecture and complex technical work related to engineering-quality initiatives while collaborating closely with the SVP of Engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Own the architecture and lead technical efforts on workflow testing, mutation testing, end-to-end testing, and public API
• Set the technical direction for cross-cutting systems and document architectural trade-offs
• Raise the technical ceiling of the organization through design review and mentorship of senior engineers

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience building production software at a staff or principal level
• Demonstrated ownership of complex technical problems with a focus on durable solutions
• Deep expertise in testing strategy and engineering-quality infrastructure, including test automation and CI/CD
• Strong architecture and API design experience with the ability to make and defend technical trade-offs
• SaaS/platform experience, with exposure to payments, IoT, or vertical-SaaS preferred
