Principal Engineer
Job Summary
Leading the design and development of AI-native workflows, the full-time remote Principal Engineer will enhance engineering productivity and operational excellence across Teradata's AI Platform by architecting intelligent agents and integrating automation into various workflows.
Key responsibilities
- Architect and build AI agents for observability, automated root cause analysis, and anomaly detection
- Develop AI-driven tooling to improve development velocity and reduce operational toil
- Collaborate with engineering teams to embed intelligent automation into CI/CD and DevOps workflows
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on AI/ML systems in production environments
- Proven experience in building AI agents and autonomous workflows
- Strong programming expertise in Python and familiarity with Java or Go
- Experience with distributed systems, telemetry data, and observability architectures
- Foundational AI skills, including prompt engineering and model evaluation
