Job Summary

Operating as a player-coach, the full-time remote Principal Engineer, AI Labs will own system architecture on GCP, lead development of event-driven data pipelines, and drive AI platform integration while mentoring engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own system design on GCP, including service boundaries and reliability trade-offs
• Lead development of event-driven data pipelines using Airflow, Spark, and Big Data tooling
• Drive AI platform integration using open-source LLMs and define prompt optimization strategies

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience; 5+ years as a Tech Lead or project lead
• Expert-level proficiency in Go, Python, or TypeScript/Node
• Deep experience with distributed systems and containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong working knowledge of GCP networking and data services
• Principal-level scope or equivalent impact
