Principal Engineer - AI Platform

Job Summary

To drive the technical strategy for the AI Platform, the full-time remote Principal Engineer - AI Platform will define architecture, lead the development of shared AI infrastructure, and contribute hands-on to production AI systems while collaborating across multiple teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the AI platform architecture, including retrieval infrastructure and GenAI product feature design
• Lead the development of a shared AI platform layer that supports all AI product features and internal business teams
• Mentor engineers and drive architectural standards through code and architecture reviews

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, particularly at senior or principal levels
• Proven experience in designing large-scale distributed systems and driving cross-organizational technical initiatives
• Hands-on experience with AI platform systems, including MLOps and LLM evaluation frameworks
• Strong understanding of AI-driven software development lifecycle tools and practices
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
