Principal Engineer, AI Systems

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Engineer, Agentic AI.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of AI-native agentic workflows to enhance engineering productivity and operational excellence
• Architect and build AI agents for observability, automated root cause analysis, and anomaly detection
• Develop AI-driven tooling to accelerate development velocity and improve operational metrics

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering with exposure to AI/ML systems in production environments
• Proven experience building AI agents or autonomous workflows
• Strong programming expertise in Python and at least one of Java or Go
• Experience with distributed systems, telemetry data, and observability architectures
• Foundational AI skills, including prompt engineering and model evaluation
