Principal Engineer, AI Systems

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Engineer, Agentic AI.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of AI-native workflows to enhance engineering productivity and operational excellence
• Architect and build intelligent agents for observability, automated root cause analysis, and anomaly detection
• Drive AI-native development practices and partner with engineering teams to embed intelligent automation into workflows

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering with exposure to AI/ML systems in production
• Proven experience in building AI agents and autonomous workflows
• Strong programming expertise in Python and at least one of Java or Go
• Experience with distributed systems and observability architectures
• Foundational AI skills, including prompt engineering and model evaluation
