Principal Engineer - AI Systems

Job Summary

Leading the design and implementation of AI-driven systems, the fully remote Principal Engineer - AI Systems will focus on building intelligent automation services, enhancing platform architecture, and providing technical leadership within a large-scale multi-tenant SaaS environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate AI-enabled workflow orchestration systems and intelligent automation services
• Lead architecture and migration initiatives across distributed services while ensuring platform reliability and operational resilience
• Mentor senior engineers and drive technical alignment across multiple development teams

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with significant roles in Staff, Principal, or Architect-level positions
• Deep hands-on experience designing cloud-native distributed systems within AWS environments
• Strong background in serverless architecture and event-driven systems
• Experience leading platform modernization or monolith-to-services migration initiatives
• Ability to operate strategically and hands-on within highly technical environments
