Principal Engineer, AI Systems

Job Summary

Leading the design and development of AI-native agentic workflows, the full-time Principal Engineer, AI Systems will enhance engineering productivity and operational excellence remotely while architecting and deploying intelligent agents across telemetry and application stacks.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and build AI agents for observability, automated root cause analysis, and anomaly detection
• Design agentic workflows that integrate across telemetry pipelines and cloud infrastructure
• Drive AI-native development practices and partner with engineering teams to embed intelligent automation into workflows

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering with exposure to AI/ML systems in production environments
• Proven experience building AI agents or autonomous workflows, not just consuming AI APIs
• Strong programming expertise in Python and at least one of Java or Go
• Experience working with distributed systems, telemetry data, and observability architectures
• Foundational AI skills, including prompt engineering and model evaluation
