Principal Engineer - Catalog

Job Summary

Driving the catalog modernization effort, the full-time remote Principal Engineer - Catalog will define and own the architecture of the product catalog platform, lead technical initiatives, and mentor engineering teams while ensuring high standards of software quality and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the catalog platform architecture, including service design and data modeling
• Lead the technical scoping and execution of the catalog modernization effort, collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Mentor engineers and drive architectural standards through code and architecture reviews

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, particularly at a senior or principal level
• Deep backend engineering experience with C#/.NET, Go, Java, or Python at production scale
• Proven experience designing data models and APIs for high-volume catalog or e-commerce systems
• Experience with AI-driven SDLC and large-scale distributed systems architecture
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience
