Principal Engineer, Cloud Networking

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Engineer, Cloud Networking to architect and lead the evolution of its global cloud networking platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical design for next-gen cloud networking including VPC, security groups, gateways, and routing domains
• Align networking roadmap with product and infrastructure teams
• Drive implementation of control/data plane features and manage services like BGP peering and network policy enforcement

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years in infrastructure, network engineering, or hosting environments
• Experience with virtual networking (public/private cloud), SDN, VXLAN/EVPN
• Strong knowledge of BGP, L2/L3 routing, Linux, and Kubernetes networking
• Network automation and observability experience
• Proficiency in Go or Rust; familiarity with PHP and SQL is a plus
