Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Engineer, Customer Platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and evolution of the Core Customer Platform covering catalog, subscriptions, checkout, payments, and order management
• Design and implement distributed systems that scale to millions of transactions, ensuring reliability and performance
• Lead technical strategy for service decomposition, data modeling, and API design across multiple product domains

Required Qualifications

• 15+ years of software engineering experience with expertise in backend and distributed systems architecture
• Proven track record in designing, building, and operating large-scale event-driven systems
• Experience architecting core e-commerce or transactional platforms
• Strong proficiency in microservice architectures and API design
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native infrastructure and modern backend languages
