Principal Engineer, Data Engineering

Job Summary

Leading the modernization of commercial data platforms, the full-time Principal Engineer, Data Engineering will execute and deploy MedTech's data domain modeling while working remotely across the U.S.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own product engineering and architectural decisions, ensuring alignment with the technology roadmap and business needs
• Collaborate with business partners to define product strategy and translate requirements into scalable data engineering solutions
• Provide hands-on technical leadership and drive the development of enterprise data pipelines and data products using Azure and Microsoft Fabric

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (Master's preferred)
• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, and/or technical architecture in an enterprise environment
• Demonstrated experience leading architecture decisions and engineering standards across multiple teams
• Hands-on expertise with Azure and Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and Power BI
• Strong experience with data mesh/data federation concepts, data modeling, data governance, and enterprise data management practices
