Principal Engineer - Data Validation
Job Summary
Providing technical leadership and operational ownership for the CPS DataValidation platform, the full-time Principal Engineer - Data Validation will manage platform reliability, drive modernization across hybrid ecosystems, and serve as the primary technical point of contact for production support while collaborating with cross-functional teams remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Own the health, reliability, performance, and scalability of the DataValidation platform, leading incident management and post-incident remediation
- Define and execute the technical strategy and roadmap for the platform, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and secure
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions while managing technical risks and dependencies across multiple teams
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in technical leadership roles such as Staff Engineer or Principal Engineer
- Experience owning mission-critical production systems and supporting enterprise-scale data platforms
- Strong hands-on experience with Python, Oracle Database, SQL performance tuning, and Azure Data Services
- Proven success in influencing multiple organizations and stakeholders, with strong stakeholder management skills
- Experience leading complex incident resolution efforts and working effectively across global teams
