Job Summary
To drive innovation in database products, the full-time salaried Principal Engineer, Database will take execution responsibility for major programs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and lead a team of technical leaders, with the flexibility to work remotely or from various office locations.
Key responsibilities
- Take execution responsibility for major programs and drive them from concept to release
- Collaborate with Google Cloud teams and Google DeepMind in developing state-of-the-art capabilities
- Lead and grow a team of technical leaders to achieve goals
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 15 years of experience with systems development in database, systems, or AI
- 15 years of experience with high-availability and disaster recovery solutions
- 10 years of experience with database security best practices, including encryption and access control
- 10 years of experience leading technical initiatives internally and externally
