Principal Engineer for Autonomous Vehicles

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Engineer for the Vanguard Team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the research, design, and development of algorithms and ML models for vehicle decision-making and robustness
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect a holistic system maximizing safety and performance
• Architect dynamic simulation scenarios to validate expanded operational design domains (ODDs) and ensure rigorous testing

Required Qualifications

• Expertise in robotics decision making, motion planning, and controls algorithms
• Experience in designing and delivering complex robotic or automation systems
• Proficiency in writing software for safety-critical embedded systems using C++, Rust, or similar
• Experience with testing, verification, and validation of systems with functional safety requirements
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems and troubleshooting in terminal environments
