Principal Engineer in AI

Job Summary

As a full-time remote Principal Engineer in AI, the successful candidate will design, build, and maintain AI-powered software systems, focusing on production-grade applications and agentic systems that enhance the platform's functionality across various business processes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement production AI systems, including LLM-powered workflows and RAG pipelines, integrated into the analytics platform
• Translate product requirements into technical designs while ensuring model capabilities align with business constraints
• Develop evaluation frameworks to measure quality and safety of AI features, driving iterative improvements based on performance metrics

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on production-grade systems and applications powered by LLMs
• Hands-on experience with LLM-based features, including prompt engineering and agentic workflows
• Strong coding skills in Python and/or TypeScript, with familiarity in modern AI SDKs and frameworks
• In-depth knowledge of architectural patterns for production LLM systems, including optimization strategies
• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
