Principal Engineer - Power Systems
Job Summary
A company is looking for a Principal Engineer - Power System Planning (Remote).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise for generation interconnection processes and operational requirements
- Perform and review power system analyses for renewable facilities, including steady state and dynamic modeling
- Develop software tools to enhance system reliability and organizational efficiency
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 7+ years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of interconnection procedures defined by ISOs/Utilities/TOs across the U.S
- Experience with power system analysis tools such as PSS/E, PSCAD, Aspen, TSAT, and GE PSLF software
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering concepts such as power flow, stability, and voltage regulation
