Principal Engineer - Reliability

Job Summary

Leading the Global Reliability Network, the full-time remote Principal Engineer - Reliability will manage reliability data, maintenance strategies, and equipment performance insights to enhance asset reliability and operational capacity across Amgen's manufacturing network.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Reliability Network strategy, collaborating with site reliability engineers and maintenance leaders
• Analyze data insights to identify recurring failures and implement corrective actions to improve equipment performance
• Define and maintain a standard risk-based asset criticality approach to prioritize maintenance strategies and optimize performance monitoring

Required qualifications

• Doctorate degree & 2 years, Master's degree & 4 years, Bachelor's degree & 6 years, Associate's degree & 10 years, or High school diploma/GED & 12 years of engineering industry experience
• Experience in maintenance, reliability, engineering, or asset management within manufacturing operations
• Strong knowledge of CMMS/EAM systems and asset performance monitoring tools
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives in site or global environments
• Familiarity with reliability frameworks such as ISO 55000 or SMRP
