Principal Engineer - Security

Job Summary

Leading the architectural vision for security infrastructure, the full-time remote Principal Engineer - Security will define the technical roadmap for Audit Logging, SIEM Integration, and Unified Security Visibility while managing high-throughput data pipelines and mentoring engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own the multi-year technical roadmap for security visibility systems, focusing on event collection, normalization, and customer exposure
• Design fault-tolerant, high-throughput audit and telemetry pipelines capable of processing billions of security events daily
• Drive integrations with leading SIEM platforms and ensure consistent, high-fidelity security telemetry across products

Required qualifications

• Over 10 years of software engineering experience, with 4+ years in audit logging, security telemetry, or high-throughput data pipelines
• Expertise in Go and experience designing gRPC-based microservices
• Hands-on knowledge of Apache Flink, Apache Kafka, or similar stream processing frameworks
• Proven history of developing security visibility platforms and complex SIEM integrations
• Understanding of audit requirements for frameworks like SOC 2, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS
